Roche Malaysia recognizes the important role healthcare organizations and patient support groups have in improving the lives of people living with an illness. We continuously collaborate and support these organisations to raise awareness about different diseases through disease awareness programmes, public forums and capacity building workshops. Roche also provides opportunities for these groups to share their expertise and experience with other patient support groups at local, regional and global levels.

Over the years, we have supported patients groups from various disease areas ranging from breast cancer, lung cancer, hemophilia, rare diseases, renal and rheumatoid arthritis that has helped raise awareness for the public to recognise early symptoms of diseases, go for early testing and detection, treatment and palliative care.

Sustainability of patient group activities are valuable for newly diagnosed patients and caregivers. It is with this understanding that Roche Malaysia provides on-going support for disease educational forums, patient counselling, patient navigation and care-giver support. Roche is cognizant that there are a lot of unmet needs of patients and creating value for patients for sustainable care is important to enable better outcomes. We support the needs of underprivileged children.

One of our signature employee projects, the Roche Children’s Walk, is an annual global fund-raising project to elevate and improve the quality of lives of underprivileged and disadvantaged children. Roche matches the contributions raised which is then channelled to global children’s initiatives related to education, nutrition, primary healthcare and social development.
